Join us in person or in spirit for the Congressional Lackland hearing
Our efforts have paid off! On January 23rd, the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) will hold a hearing on the largest military sexual abuse scandal in history at Lackland Air Force Base. Getting the hearing scheduled was a breakthrough.
We thank the thousands of citizens, survivors and advocates who, since last summer, signed our petition calling on the HASC to hold a public hearing, spoke out in the media, tweeted “Ask Buck,” and personally visited Congress.
Special thanks to Paula Coughlin-Puopolo for courageously stepping forward to expose sexual assaults at Tailhook in 1992, and again last year by leading our petition, demanding a hearing to address sexual abuse at Lackland — and throughout our armed forces.
You can join us in Washington, DC on the day of the hearing and press for transformational change in the military. Sign up here to get essential information on location and time.
And if you can’t join us in person, click here to join us in spirit by sending well wishes to survivors.
Will the hearing provide a meaningful step toward ending this crisis? We all must demand no less.
