Yesterday’s Civil Rights Commission Hearing Addressed Sexual Assault in All Branches of U.S. Military

Anna Breslaw reports for Jezebel on Protect Our Defenders Advocacy Board Member Jenny McClendon:

After the hearing, McClendon says that she is “cautiously optimistic” about the steps being taken to reduce the sexual assault rates, but she’ll believe it when she sees it. “They’ve been thinking they had a grip on this every five years for the last 25 years. So although some very good answers were given today, I don’t know that they have the same grip that they think they have.”
