Associated Press Posts Documents from Investigation on Sexual Assaults Involving Military Personnel in Japan
EDITOR’S NOTE: These records contain graphic descriptions of sexual assault cases involving U.S. military personnel at bases in Japan. The cases of reported sex crimes from 2005 to early 2013 provide the most detailed and comprehensive account to date of how commanders and investigators handle these offenses.
Below are nearly 600 of the documents, obtained by The Associated Press from the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service through the Freedom of Information Act.
