Cross-Country Bike Ride Fights Trauma of War

Nancy Gaarder reports for the Omaha World-Herald on Colleen Bushnell’s Long Road Home bike ride, supported by Protect Our Defenders:

Five veterans are participating in the Long Road Home, a cross-country bicycle ride that started July 15 to raise money for and awareness of the difficulties faced by men and women who leave military service. Case in point: In the 90 days the trip will take, 1,500 veterans, on average, will have committed suicide.
