In Lackland Trials, Fear Factor Crucial in Quest for Justice

“It’s a disturbing decision. So long as the case law remains that prosecutors must prove a specific fear as opposed to a generalized fear, victims will continue to have a very difficult time getting to a jury,” said Nancy Parrish, founder of Protect Our Defenders, an advocate group. “I think that the military justice system did fail another sexual assault victim,” said retired Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jennifer Norris, a military sexual trauma victim and advocate.
