Military Rape Survivors Demand Congressional Investigation

August 1, 2012: Paula Coughlin-Puopolo, Tailhook whistleblower, returns to DC to demand Rep. Buck McKeon and the House Armed Services Committee open a full Congressional investigation into the Lackland Air Force Base sexual assault scandal. Protect Our Defenders and four other veterans who survived unpunished sexual assault in the military — Brian Lewis, Jennifer Norris, Jessica Hinves, and Jenny McClendon — hold a press conference and deliver 10,000 petitions asking Congress for an open investigation.
