Military Sex Assaults Surged in 2012

Including those who did not disclose it to military commanders, the actual prevalence of “unwanted sexual contact” is thought to have spiked 36 percent to some 26,000 incidents, the department estimated based on an anonymous survey of personnel and statistical research.
