WSJ: General Reprimanded, Fined in Adultery Case
Protect Our Defenders President Nancy Parrish is featured in this article from the Wall Street Journal:
“Gen. Sinclair and his family are deeply grateful that the Army they served for 27 years ultimately did the right thing,” said Richard Scheff, his lead defense attorney. “We are grateful…he has been exonerated of crimes that he did not commit.”
Victim advocates said the sentence sent the wrong message. “The military’s promises of ‘zero tolerance’ for sexual offenses continues to ring hollow as yet another high-ranking official is let off the hook,” said Nancy Parrish, president of Protect Our Defenders.
Mr. Scheff said, “The system works when innocent people aren’t punished for crimes they did not commit. Critics of this ruling who…haven’t seen the evidence have no idea what they’re talking about.”
